New World Ballet offers a full lineup of dance classes in Santa Rosa for ages 3 through adult, including classical ballet, contemporary, hip hop and breakdance, Latin dance, and dancer conditioning. From a child's first creative-movement class to pre-professional pointe work, every dancer finds a place to grow. Ballet (Ages 3 to Teen)
Our ballet program is the heart of the studio: a clear, encouraging progression that takes a 3-year-old's very first plié all the way through pre-professional pointe work. Class placement is by skill, not age, and is set by our artistic director.
Creative Movement (Ages 3 to 6)
Our youngest dancers explore movement, coordination, and the very first language of ballet through play. Children learn to follow a teacher, move across the floor, listen to music, and recognize left from right, all in a class designed for short attention spans. Students should be ready to dance independently (without a parent on the floor) for about 30 minutes, with breaks. Creative Movement is the gentle on-ramp to Pre-Ballet.
Pre-Ballet (Ages 5 to 8)

The next step after Creative Movement. Students continue building basic ballet vocabulary and etiquette, and stretch into longer, more focused 30-minute classes. By the end of Pre-Ballet, dancers are comfortable with the basics and ready for the structure of a true ballet class.
